In this workshop, we will reflect on a 21st-century Irish story as a model of hope and a challenge for church growth in Europe today. After 40 years as a minister in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland in various settings and serving the denomination in Central Europe with partner churches, John Kirkpatrick was given the opportunity to lead the denomination in the past year as Moderator. From these perspectives, there emerge great encouragement and helpful ways of thinking about the present state of the church in Europe and possible ways God is leading us into the future.
