    Organisational Development
Equipping Christian leaders to effectively develop committed partners who will faithfully contribute critical support to organizational success

This Network’s curriculum will focus on helping leaders learn how to do development and fundraising through a variety of biblically-based principles. The aim is to encourage and equip you in equal measure: to give you the confidence to trust the Lord for your organisation’s vision and needs, and to give you the tools you need to build lasting, intentional relationships with those who share your dreams. Come prepared for a very interactive, practical series of talks with discussions and Q&A throughout, all designed to help you realise that God is right there on this journey with you.

Prior preparation will be set for all applicants.

What Network Participants Are Saying

  • "The Organisational Development and Fundraising Network sessions equip me by giving me ideas and tools for how to develop our organisation and its fundraising initiatives in a God-honouring way. I have learned a lot of new information and am at the same time building a network of other Europeans who share the same challenges and blessings in similar ministries."
    - Edita Ulcina, Executive Director of Spolocenstvo Evanjelia, Slovakia
  • "I am responsible for the financials in my organisation. In the Forum’s Organisational Development and Fundraising Network, I am learning deep truths about how part of fundraising is about building meaningful relationships and developing them according to the Great Commission of Christ. I am also learning about how to become a better, more faithful steward. I have found this Network immensely helpful."
    - Gabor Racz-Schliszka, Vice President of Reformatus Fiatalok Szovetsege, Hungary

Applicants should be those individuals interested in learning how to do development and fundraising through a variety of biblically-based principles.

Network Programme

Sunday, 26 May

In this session, we will examine the key elements and proven methods to raise funds and build lasting donor relationships. We will discuss strategies, tactics, and practical tools to achieve your resourcing objectives. Whether you are part of a limited staff with no fundraising training, or a large organization with a dedicated team of development professionals, you will appreciate the principles and stories of success and failure, distress and jubilation.

Fundraising is a ministry of loving people and building relationships. It isn't just having people come to events or sending them materials and making an ask. In a world of limited resources (time, money, etc.) and increasing fundraising goals, we need donors who share our values and our purpose and who have the financial capacity to make an outsized difference. In this session, we'll look at practical ways to nurture relationships with those to whom God has given much.

Monday, 27 May

Do you need to renovate or build new facilities? Fund special projects? Or simply build capacity for future initiatives. Capital campaigns invite your donors to make special gifts over and above their recurring, annual donations. In this session, we will explore the planning, preparation, and communication elements to fuel your mission and vision. We will also study a few “failures to launch” and some monumental successes.

Organisational development is all about relationships. The people we partner with are key to the success of our mission! But what are some of the common pitfalls and mistakes we can fall into as we seek to cultivate strong relationships with strategic donors? In this session, we'll explore some of the most common mistakes we make, and, most importantly, we'll let donors speak for themselves, and learn from their wisdom and experience.

Tuesday, 28 May

Are you looking to establish a consistent and dependable source of funding? In this session, we will explore the essential steps required to create a strong strategy for generating ongoing financial support throughout the year, which will enable you to sustain your programs, projects, and daily operations. Many of us have been asked, 'What's your sustainability plan?' Together, we will not only address this question but also delve into the fundamental elements of motivating donors to join us on an exciting journey towards eternal success!

Funding from foundations is a key part of many nonprofit organisations’ annual fundraising goals. There are many generous Christian individuals and organisations that are eager to support the Lord’s work in Europe and around the world. But interacting with foundations can be tricky. Different foundations have different requirements for grant applications, different expectations for follow-up reporting, and different personalities on the boards. How can a ministry organisation successfully navigate the sometimes murky and always complex world of foundation grantmaking? If you are seeking a grant from a foundation, thinking about applying for a grant, or have ever received a grant, this workshop is an essential guide as you work toward collaboration with grantmaking organisations.
