Ambition is a puzzle. Someone says, “A man without ambition is like a bird without wings” (Walter H. Cottingham). That’s it – we need ambition to bring change and get things done! Then another voice says, "When ambition ends, happiness begins” (Thomas Merton). Maybe ambition always breeds discontentment, feeds pride and fuels competitiveness. This workshop will seek biblical wisdom to walk the narrow path between these two extremes. We will consider how we can recognise, nurture and follow godly ambition while also learning the secret of being content and saying no to rivalry.
