Zsuzsanna Onasoga
Zsuzsanna Onasoga is a counsellor with Logos Christian Fellowship and Hana's Hope in Serbia.
In 1991, my friend invited me to a home Bible study, and it was there that I decided to follow Christ in a personal relationship. It was a result of years of searching and desiring to 'reach' God. I had always expected God to just find me, but He was there all along, waiting for me to finally put down my pride and trust in Him!
I went to Bible school for a year ('93-'94), and that time really helped me settle some issues and grow rapidly. Other situations, like being a foster parent, working with poor people, being the pastor's wife, going through a difficult time of loss, and facing insecurities, helped me know God better.
My soul refills at the Forum. It encourages me to continue in my ministry and gives me a clearer vision and direction. I also hope to support others who are there and may need my help in certain ways.
I work as a pastoral counsellor in my church and at Hana's Hope NGO. Additionally, I lead the women's ministry for three churches and work with Joni and Friends Serbia, supporting the volunteers. I'm also mentoring women who are potential leaders, overseeing programs in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia. Lastly, I'm on the organising team for the Daughters of the King women's conference.
I used to work at Calvary Chapel, helping with regular meetings, Bible studies, camps, and conferences. I would occasionally teach workshops at our conferences and be involved in various projects to help those in need.
I would like to grow professionally and connect with other people for future work. Though not many counsellors in Serbia have a Christian background, the need is great. I can see how God uses me even now as I talk with individuals, and I would like to develop my gifts even more so I can become an effective servant of God. Your investment will help me in this pursuit.
