Why Should I Attend the European Leadership Forum?

What has God called you to do? How can we help?

For more than twenty years, we have been posing these questions to faithful evangelical leaders at the European Leadership Forum.

While their replies have been varied, we have discovered some common themes, including the need for:

  • High-quality resources that are true to Scripture
  • Discipline-specific training from senior leaders
  • Wise, experienced mentors, who can provide guidance on what to do (and what not to do)
  • Community with like-minded peers, who can share in struggles and joys

ELF has adapted to meet these needs over the past two decades.

Are you a European evangelical leader? Are you searching for teaching, tools, or relationships to help you do what God has called you to do?

If so, we invite you to apply for ELF.

How is God using the Forum to unite, equip, and resource evangelical leaders?
  • Angela Bosnjak

I deeply believe that the Lord has brought me here not only to renew me and prepare me for the coming period, but I was given a remarkable opportunity to learn from older, more experienced Christian workers in different fields. Participating and meeting new people who share the same passion for reaching young people for Christ is an incredible joy and encouragement... Thank you for showing me God’s love in this way. Maybe it’s a small thing for you, but it’s a big thing for me.”

-- Angela Bosnjak, Theology Student and Youth Ministry Leader, Bosnia-Herzegovina

  • Luke Greenwood

ELF was a great encouragement and investment! It was great to see many new people, especially many younger leaders now attending and being invested in. There was also important space given to younger leaders in the speaking and workshops, bringing a fresh voice into the Forum. We come each year, with a select group from our mission which is a good way to keep developing our people. ELF is a key place for training, networking, and hearing what God is doing around Europe.

  • Andreea Bojoga

The experience of being at the ELF is transforming not only at a personal level, as I can see Him and the Gospel more powerfully and beautifully than before, but also refreshes my vision for the ministry I am involved in, better equips me in our Christian calling of sharing the Gospel - especially how relevant, consistent, and coherent it is for our challenges nowadays. I strongly believe this experience is transforming and as many Christians as possible should attend and multiply what they’ve received here in their personal context - for a revival across Europe and the whole world.”

  • Roxana Stanciu

“I remember longing to have some mentors and a community of peers. I also felt a need to receive more professional training and spiritual formation. I can truly say that my experience at the European Leadership Forum has been transformative and I have not missed an ELF since 2012. God worked in such a beautiful way in my life to encourage me then and He gave me a strong feeling that I am not alone. It is wonderful to see how God has used ELF to take me where I am now. “ELF has had an enormous spiritual and professional impact on my life. There have been so many times when I was able to continue in ministry because of what I received at ELF. The richness of relationships and the thoroughness of the teaching always give me a yearly dose of energy and enthusiasm that keep me going for another year.

  • Peter J Williams

“The Forum has had a huge effect on me. I’m in my current job because of the Forum, and it has helped shape the way I think about strategy. The European Leadership Forum is an incredible event, and I wouldn’t want to miss it for anything and I would encourage others to try and come. I think the Forum is one of the most significant things going on in Europe as it seeks to equip and unite Gospel leaders in whatever they’re doing. We’re all short of time; we’re all short of resources. And it is madness for us not to share our best practices, to get to know each other. The Forum really encourages that better than anything else I know.”

-- Peter J. Williams, Principal, Tyndale House, Cambridge, England

  • Lindsay Brown

The Forum is the best initiative I’ve seen in Europe in the last 25 years, and it’s also unique on a global scale. The Forum is important for at least four reasons:

  1. It provides an oasis for hard-pressed Christian workers.
  2. It provides a means of equipping and training people for ministry.
  3. It provides resources: quality books, outstanding speakers, online materials.
  4. It’s a spawning ground for ministries across the continent.

For these reasons, the Forum provides an invaluable contribution to the advance of the Gospel and the equipping of God’s church across Europe. That’s why I wholeheartedly support it.”

-- Lindsay Brown, Former International Director of Lausanne, Wales

  • Nick Nedelchev

The European Leadership Forum has been a wonderful success. The European Evangelical Alliance supports the European Leadership Forum and stands behind it. The Forum is creating a bridge for Europe’s evangelical leaders to gain access to God’s global resources.
