Zsolt Biro
Zsolt Biro is a Bible teacher for Grace Ministries Hungary.
I became a Christian more than 20 years ago. I started attending a Reformed church and began conversing with the pastor. He gave me a book called ‘Why I Am a Christian’ by Ole Kristian Hallesby. I read this book in parallel with the Bible itself. I wanted to know God and have the same experiences that Ole Kristian Hallesby described in his book. One morning, my eyes were opened while I read from the Gospels. I understood why Jesus came, what the cross means, and that I needed to decide. I prayed and gave my whole life to my Creator that day.
As I grew as a Christian, I became a leader, too. First, I taught in Sunday school. Then, I taught in the church youth group. Later, I became one of the elders of my church. These were significant steps in my faith and Christian walk. Now, I am a teacher with Grace Ministries Hungary, where I try to serve my Lord in Hungary.
I first attended virtually in 2021, and now it is the time to develop genuine relationships with fellow servants. Meeting, talking, and sharing in person will be a real treat. I like to learn and use new things in my life. I hope these new connections will help me in my ministry in the future as well.
I am a co-leader of the ministry; my full-time job is teaching courses, mentoring, and making disciples in Grace Ministries. Our main message is the grace-centred mindset, our new identity in Christ, our intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father, and our identification with Jesus. We hold approximately 10-12 one- or two-day seminars annually. We also have seven ten-month courses in a year.
First, I taught Sunday school. Then, I taught in a youth group. Next, I became an elder in my local church.
Eastern Europe is in a terrible situation, and my country is worse than average. Most people have not encountered the genuine Christian faith. We have to destroy those walls and show people the authentic Christian faith. Our mission is to show people the true Christian faith, heal them, and build them up as disciples of Christ.
