Vasilica Croitor
Vasilica Croitor is the Executive Director of The Alliance for Church Planting in Romania.
I got saved in 1990 while in my hometown. The Gospel impacted me through my family and the youth group at our church.
In 1991, I joined a team of young evangelists and started doing street evangelism. Next, I attended a Bible school that was very much oriented towards practical evangelistic activities. From 1993 to 1997, I studied theology in Bucharest and became friends with a missions teacher who influenced my life in many ways. Then, I took an intensive course in Islam, and since then, I have started to work in Romania with many Muslims. After that, I served as the pastor of a church where the Romanian headquarters of Islam was located.
I believe the resources offered by the Forum are essential for helping to meet the needs of European churches. I benefited a lot from the mentoring and courses provided, and I connected with many people who are doing the same work in other parts of Europe.
I am a pastor, a church planter, and a mission-mobilising leader in Romania. We developed a vision for church planting that is being implemented in Constanta County and that is helping churches to focus on many villages and towns that do not have a church. I am also a writer and an editor. In 2010, I published a book on the relationship between the church and the State in the time of Communism and how that affects the church today. As I publisher, I have launched more than 200 book titles in the Romanian language.
I was the founder and the director of a Christian library in my hometown and started a publishing and printing ministry. I have also served as a senior pastor.
We are developing a plan to plant 100 new churches in our country. We need all the help we can get in this endeavour.
