What is your ministry?

I'm a children's worker, and I lead a team of 12 people in a large congregation. We have great communication, and we are trying to develop that more in the years and months to come. The church is in great support of what we do and provides resources and spiritual support in every aspect of the ministry. We are looking forward to seeing growth in our young people in the church or in the school around the community where we live. We are working with other schools to reach that goal in the future.

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a very small village in the post-communist country of Albania. We were not exposed to God or the Gospel because it was banned for 50 years. Straight after the regime failed we had plenty of missionaries came to Albania and share the Gospel with us. Two sisters from the Netherlands came to my village and shared with us about the Bible and Jesus. I originally went there because not much was happening in the village at that time. Eventually, it came real for me. I realised that this Gospel was not just a story but it was something that happened. Jesus died for me so I could be saved. So in 2006, I got baptised and the joy of salvation is the same today as it was then.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I want to learn and understand how to work with young people and to be able to know more about how to walk alongside them as they grow to be young men and women of faith. I also want to be confident and ready to answer questions as they grow in this society of confusion. So, I am looking at how to do this with the help, support, and knowledge of this mentoring group so I can grow, learn, and understand their world better. That is what I am looking to learn and gain from the Forum.
