What is your ministry?
I am the editor-in-chief of the only cross-denominational Christian monthly magazine in our country, which believers read from most of the denominations in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Our mission is to connect and inform Christian ministers and help to build unity within the Body of Christ. We also want to encourage and equip our readers to bring the Good News to their friends and neighbours. Therefore, we collect articles from authors from many different denominations and have Christian specialists (doctors, psychologists, theologians, etc.) write about relevant topics and publish personal testimonies of our readers, too.
When did you trust Christ?
When I was 10, in an evangelism meeting at an evangelical church.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
I grew up in a Christian family, and my parents and grandparents, active believers in church ministries, have always been my role models. We had warm contact with different churches, and I saw the blessing of collaborating across the denominations. As a teenager and young adult, I was part of several cross-denominational activities (worship events, evangelism, etc.), volunteered for Christian Media, and was active in my home church. After graduation, I moved to Prague and started working for Životvíry magazine, which gave me many new experiences and chances to meet great Christian leaders.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
The connections made during the ELF have been very valuable for me. Some of the people I met there have helped us with some pieces of advice, some have contributed to our magazine, and others have helped us with their experience and practical consultations. Also, some have inspired us to explore new areas of media ministry.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
As a young adult, I have been in a youth ministry leadership team; I led a house group, I was part of a leadership team of a Christian youth festival, I was part of a group of people who organised cross-denominational worship events, and more.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
Our magazine has been published for more than 30 years and has played a remarkable role in connecting evangelical leaders and believers in our country. It is widely respected, helps build good relationships among churches, and reminds them of their purpose. It also encourages faith and inspiration for thousands of individuals as we strive to bring relevant, practical topics to help them walk with Christ in their everyday lives.
