Therese Bass
Therese Bass is the International Ministry Coordinator for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa at IHS Global in Hungary.
Despite growing up in a Christian home, I was not yet a child of God. I wanted to become one, so I gave my life to Christ in 2001. I have been searching for the true meaning of becoming a child of God ever since then.
I was confused about the Christian walk, and I did not understand how people could leave their comfort zones to answer God's call. Nevertheless, learning from missionaries while I was in high school had already paved the way for me as a teenager to walk into my calling.
I want to return to the European Leadership Forum because I want to connect more with fellow workers of the Kingdom. I have benefited from the sessions, which were established to help me understand my skills and use them in my personal context and in the European mission context. This year, I hope to grow in my ministry and in my evangelism skills in order to renew what Christ wants the Church to be.
I work with IHS Global, and my ministry involves teaching the Saline Process, a course designed to train healthcare workers to be witnesses for Jesus. I am also involved with the Salt and Light Programme, which equips those who are not in the healthcare setting (church leaders, organisations, etc.) to share their faith with others.
In the past, I have been involved in children's and youth camping. I have been involved in retreats. My present job allows me to support various partners involved in the Saline Process.
You should invest in me because I am called to discipleship in various missions. Attending the Forum has helped me to improve my communication methods to ensure clear and effective messaging both within the ministry and to the broader community around me. Moving forward, I would like to be even more equipped in discipleship and networking strategies to do God's Kingdom work.
