Táňa Reháková

Táňa Reháková is the COO of NePornu in the Czech Republic.
I was born into a Christian family and was baptised when I was 9 years old. But I drifted away from God when I was a teenager, and I didn’t consider myself a Christian. When I was 18, I felt like I was missing an important part of myself, and I decided to try and get to know Jesus once again. When I was 19, I started attending a youth group and a girl’s Bible study group at my local church, which helped me build my relationship with God again. I think that was the time of my life when I actually decided to trust and follow Jesus.
My adolescence was quite crazy, and I think most parents would have given up on me, but my parents never did. They showed me love and forgiveness even though they went through really tough times because of the things I was doing. I knew they had the strength to do this only because of their faith, and that was a really strong example for me. Years later, my current church really helped me to define my faith. My husband and I have grown here a lot. A very defining moment was my husband’s baptism. He was a non-believer before, and he got baptised a year after our wedding. I felt like it was a miracle and deepened my faith in Jesus.
I hope the Forum will help me grow in my new role as a COO in an NGO. I keep looking for new ways to improve our NePornu project, and I believe that ELF can inspire me. I believe that I will meet many great people who might help me improve our project or learn new skills. I also believe it might help us connect to other NGOs doing something similar to what we do. I also hope to grow in my faith by building relationships with other Christians.
My current position is COO of the NePornu project. I make sure our project runs smoothly so we can continue helping our clients with their pornography addiction and spreading awareness about the risks of pornography. I also lead a support group for wives of addicted men. As for my church ministries, I'm a leader in my church's youth ministry organisational team and a member of our worship band.
My first role was as an e-coach coordinator. I managed a group of 30-40 volunteers (e-coaches) trained to help our clients with pornography addiction. My job was to interview the volunteers, train them, help them answer difficult client questions, and support them throughout the year. As for my church ministries, I taught Sunday school for many years and helped with worship and snacks after church.
Every year, hundreds of people reach out to our project for help with their pornography addiction. Our project exists to help these people or those close to them. We want to do that in the best way possible and help every single one of them. We keep growing every year as we try to help more people and spread more awareness (especially among children and youths) about the dangers of pornography. This growth requires a new organisational structure and many new skills to run our team smoothly and effectively. Attending ELF will bring new inspiration, new know-how, and fresh views on how we can improve.
