What is your ministry?
I'm involved in both youth and small group ministry. I'm also on our church's tech team. As a youth leader in our church, my ministry is centered around nurturing our youth's spiritual growth and well-being. Through a combination of different activities like regular Bible studies, camps, conferences, and board games nights, we want to help our youth in their walk with Christ.
When did you trust Christ?
I first heard the Gospel when I was 13 years old at a youth camp organized by a Baptist church. My cousin invited me to this camp, but I wasn’t interested in God. Three years later, at the same camp, something in me had changed, and I started to think about God and Jesus. After the camp, I started attending a youth group. After a meeting one week, I was so moved by God’s love I decided that I wanted to live my life for Jesus.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
My college years were a difficult time for me. Fortunately, I had a close relationship with my pastor; his leadership helped me get through those years and helped me grow. The first significant moment that impacted my faith was my first mission trip to Ukraine. It was two years after I decided to follow Christ. On the trip, I was moved by the fellowship I had with the people from my church and the local church in Ukraine. Every year, we go to help with Vacation Bible School for local children. Rozynichi, the town where we minister, is a small village. People, there are extremely poor. Most houses don’t even have doors inside because they can’t afford them. However, seeing how appreciative they are for everything God provides for them has been life-changing for me.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
God has used Forum to teach me about discipleship and disciple-making and also improved my teaching skills, which God has used during our small group to preach Gospel to the youth.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
My most significant leadership role has been as the leader for ministry to young adults in my church. It takes a lot of my time in addition to my studies and work. It is a huge responsibility to lead a group of people in their walk with Christ. But I see God’s work in their lives and in my life, which makes me want to get involved even more.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I want to attend the Forum to improve my ministry and life. I can see God's work in many areas of my life, but I believe He has planned bigger and better things, and I pray that through the Forum, He can provide me with tools to help me do what He has planned.
