What is your ministry?

My current ministry as the Evangelism Coordinator is to mobilise the local body of Christ to a lifestyle of needs-based evangelism aimed at our neighbor who needs to hear the Gospel. We need to be strategic in identifying the immediate needs of the people around us and fulfilling those immediate needs in loving ways with which the Gospel is shared. Another facet of the ministry is to have a cyclical outlet for the Body of Christ to get involved with, joint projects with other local churches, short-term ministry options, Christian conferences and workshops aimed at mission preparation, and cyclical evangelism-minded sermons from the pulpit to encourage us to keep fishing for men.

When did you trust Christ?

I was five years old when I was first allowed to give my life to Jesus. I was fumbling through my mother's Sunday school booklets and tracks when I came upon the page with Jesus hanging on the cross. My mom then shared the Gospel with me and told me Jesus was there on that cross in my place. I gave my life to the Lord that day. Later on, at 16, I was water baptised and have since walked with the Lord by grace.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

My parents' divorce when I was 10 impacted me greatly. This was just the tipping point, as domestic violence, fear, and chaos dominated my childhood because of their toxic marriage. I had no role model in my life, no father I wanted to be like, so the Lord kept bringing into my life godly men as father figures who, for a season, would be stand-ins for what I was robbed of. Then God started from a young age to take me on short-term mission trips to tell other broken kids about a father who mends hearts into His heart. God was using a broken jar to fill other broken jars with hope from Him.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

It will be very encouraging to experience what the Lord is doing across Europe and beyond. I expect to be encouraged and hope to be an encouragement to the participants I meet. I also look forward to bringing some of the fire back with me to Timisoara so we can implement the things the Lord will make clear we are to bring home from there. I also hope to make the most of networking while there, starting and building lifelong relationships with Forum participants worldwide.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was a youth pastor and children's pastor in Harlem, New York. I co-led a young married adult small group that started with three couples and exploded into 36 couples in 2-3 years.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I believe the Lord is preparing me to become one of the many (I pray) who are ready to receive the faith baton from the titans of faith ahead of me and continue the run faithfully in my current generation. The desire the Lord has placed in me is to help prepare my generation to preach the Gospel to the next. We are again one generation away from not knowing the Lord, and by God's grace, it's not going to be my generation that misses the baton. I'm looking to partner well so I can run the race well with endurance.
