Sho Carter-Daniel is a local church leader and theological student in England.

When did you trust Christ?

Growing up in a Christian family, I was familiar with the concept of 'faith'. However, Jesus remained within the realm of intellectual agreement. However, it was not until the Holy Spirit convicted me during a discussion with a pastor regarding the futility of living in sin while merely giving intellectual assent to biblical truths that I entirely placed my trust in Jesus Christ, turned away from a sinful lifestyle, and humbled my heart before Him.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

My Christian journey started with a focus on strengthening my biblical knowledge and rooting in Christian fellowship within my local church. More recently, I have been learning about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith and Church History, engaging in online apologetics, studying biblical languages and Christology, and undertaking formal theological training.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I expect to learn how to be more effective in evangelism and apologetics, engage with people from different cultures to discuss Christianity and the Bible, connect with other Christian leaders from Europe, and be further empowered to equip young people with skills in apologetics and to pursue thorough biblical and theological understanding.

What is your ministry?

I serve as a church council member, a preacher, and a small group leader at my local church. These roles have been fantastic opportunities to serve the Lord and His people here. I also engage in online apologetics and am passionate about equipping young people with apologetic skills. Through it all, I have cultivated a passion for seeing others come to know Jesus Christ and take the Bible seriously.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I served as an assistant pastor from 2015 to 2016 and later pastored a local branch of the church.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

There is a need to equip the next generation with theological knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures. As a Nigerian, I have seen a decline in interest and desire among those in the West African diaspora due to questions or views opposing the Christian faith. I desire to equip those around me with the necessary tools to equip others, engage with the culture, take the Bible seriously, and evangelise—all flowing from love and communion with Jesus Christ!
