Sebasrian Sarca
I preach the biblical truths to the members and the kids of the Church. I'm involved in disciple-making (youth discipleship). I'm engaged in missionary projects, Bible distribution, and street evangelism.
I was 17, and for some weeks, I was feeling the Holy Spirit working in me and giving me the desire to surrender my life to God. It was a long process that included my emotions and people that God sent with a specific message for me. I know I was directed towards God by an exterior power: the power of the Holy Spirit. At some point, I was home alone, and I felt a profound need for the presence of God. I sought God's presence, but I also was afraid. I thought I was empowered to seek Him and to pray. At that moment, I prayed and said to Jesus that I didn't want to live without Him anymore. That's when I invited Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of my life.
I had many moments in my life that helped me grow. It was especially true when I was going through trials. Once, I had to make a choice regarding my future, but I was confused about my decision to attend a theological seminary. So I prayed for confirmation but didn't receive any. Then, based on my relationship with the Lord, I just stepped out in faith. It was an experience that taught me how to listen to the Lord's voice. Another critical defining moment of my Christian walk was when I was mentored. I didn't grow up in a context where discipleship was a thing, but when I discovered the existence of such a thing, I started looking for mentors, and since I have one, my life of faith has been impacted by it in a good way.
I believe ELF is going to help me expand my ministry horizon. I expect to be blessed with new ideas, new methods of ministry, innovative and pragmatic methods of leadership, and lots of courage and enthusiasm.
For three years, I was on the team for the Sunday school ministry. Here, I served by leading the songs and doing different lessons, preaching the biblical truths and the missionary lesson. I also served in summer camps, leading small group discussions and sports activities. I also serve by preaching in churches and preaching street evangelism.
People may want to invest in my training and ministry so I can fulfill my calling by raising Christian leaders who will do the work of Christ. I am a person who can identify a context or a situation where I could serve and be helpful. But to be able to do this, I need to expand my knowledge and training and become a good Christian leader.
