What is your ministry?

As the Balkan region director, I'm doing 90% pioneering work in the Balkans. In many countries, many local churches invite YFC to help with programs to reach young people for Christ. I'm helping to open new YFC programs in the Balkan region; organising training for the new teams; assisting new coordinators in countries like Kosovo, N. Macedonia, and Albania; helping with fundraising for the new ministries in the Balkans; and still doing ministry projects in Croatia (helping with camps, media studio, leading youth and students in Rijeka Baptist church, organising events, etc.).

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a Christian Family and attended the Baptist church early on. I first attended Sunday school and then youth meetings. I started to lead the youth in my church and preach at a very early age. I was 14 when I gave my life to Jesus. I was active in the church through choir, leading youth, leading worship, etc.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

When I was 18, I almost died. I had a severe health situation. My lung exploded, and I lost almost all my blood in my body. I felt the prayers from everyone who loved me and showed me that this shouldn't be my end. In that moment of getting a second chance from God, I devoted my life to God and became a YFC missionary. I dedicated my life to sharing my journey with Jesus with young people in Croatia, wherever they are.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

As a regional leader, building a network with other leaders is crucial. This Conference will help me meet other leaders not only from Europe but also from the Balkans. Exchanging experiences, knowledge, and stories has always helped me grow, get information, and build the network needed to continue my ministry efforts in the Balkan region.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was a youth leader in my local Baptist church from 1990-1997, the Youth for Christ National Coordinator (started YFC Croatia) from 1997-2023, the Youth for Christ assistant to the YFC Central Europe director from 2018- 2022, the Youth for Christ Balkan region director 2022 to present, an elder and a member of the Committee in the Baptist Church 2010-2020, a student leader in the theological seminary Osijek from 1998-2002, and a Church and Peace (European peace network) board member since 2021.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I can gain a lot, but also, I can share a lot. I'm always open to being challenged by discussions, but I see this event as a motivation and inspiration for my future leadership tasks. I believe that hearing many good experiences from other leaders will be a blessing for me as a leader.
