What is your ministry?
I am a senior pastor of Brno Baptist Church—my lovely family and I moved here 2.5 years ago. I serve alongside six elders, oversee worship services (music), and encourage many leaders in their ministries in the church.
When did you trust Christ?
When I was seven years old (43 years ago :-)), praying with my father at home after God spoke to me at a church worship service.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
One defining moment was growing up in a Christian home during communism. Another moment was God's call to be a preacher of His Word at the age of 16. Other defining moments have included God's faithfulness during my failures. Also, some defining moments have included having mentors along the way, both in the family and while serving God in Church.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I want to broaden my perspective of our ministry, focusing on discipleship in our main church and three church plants.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I was a youth leader from the age of 19. I was the National Youth Director for the Czech Baptist Union for eight years. I was a pastor of two churches for over 17 years.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I can already see God at work in my life and ministry, and I believe God has more to come. We have a great team of leaders at our church, many young people—the potential is excellent. If our church succeeds in church planting, we will significantly encourage other churches in our region/nation.
