Pavlius Vadeikis
In our church, I have several ministries. I am one of the moderators of the ministries. The moderator's task is to lead and coordinate the service from start to finish. I am also one of the preachers. I preach consistently 2 to 4 times every 2 months. I also lead a home group of about 12 to 14 people (including unbelievers). I also lead a worship service. The last one is my direct area of responsibility. In our church, we have three musical groups that I coordinate. One of these groups is mine, and we play consistently 1 to 2 times a month. Accordingly, I am also a member of the church council.
I have been trying to find God in my life since I was 8 years old. The first search took place in the Orthodox church I attended from the age of 8 to 10. I left this church because of disappointment, which was caused by the life of the priest, who started drinking alcohol. Then, from the age of 10 to 12, Jehovah's Witnesses tried (that's right, TRIED) to study the Bible with me. But our views were very different, so almost every conversation or discussion we had did not end peacefully. At the age of 14 (2007), I attended the local Protestant church in the village for the first time by invitation, where I was invited to attend the youth service. I really liked the atmosphere. Six months later I repented and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. In 2008, I was baptized in water. I am now 31 years old and have never regretted my choice.
Due to my Christian faith and steadfastness in faith (and adherence to the principles of Christianity), my classmates from school looked up to me. And now he is a pastor of a Baptist church. He always says that my life was an example for him.
I believe that ELF will help me to make my ministry much better. The knowledge I will gain there will be practical for my ministry. Thus, my ministry will be more beneficial for the Kingdom of God.
From Year-Round Mentoring, I expect that my leadership skills in planting new churches will reach a new level. One of the missions of our church is that we want to be a healthy church that plants other churches. And for that, you need to have the right knowledge and skills. I sincerely hope that the YRM will help me develop these skills and learn a lot of new useful and practical information. I will be able to use this information and skills in my ministry.
My leadership roles have included preaching, leading worship, leading home groups, leading services, and volunteering.
I am one of the leaders of the Ukrainian church founded in Vsetín, Czech Republic, in 2022. Most of the people in our church are refugees. I see a great need for quality ministers who will be able to help these people, as well as help others in creating new churches.
