What is your ministry?

I am in charge of the youth ministry of the Czech Baptist Union. I provide support, education, and help to local youth ministries. We organise national youth conferences, summer camps, regional youth meetings, educational programs, seminars, and weekends for youth leaders.

When did you trust Christ?

I was raised in a Christian home. I attended church regularly. I did not question the existence of God, but I did not have a personal relationship with Christ. One day, at an evangelistic meeting, I heard about Christ’s love and the destiny of sinners. I realised that despite believing in God, He was not my Lord and my Savior. That day, I surrendered my heart to Christ and asked him to come and take over my life. Four years later, I was baptised at the age of 16.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

I was praying for God’s guidance for the future. God answered and showed me that he wanted me to be his servant. I chose to study theology at the Baptist Union College, where one professor significantly influenced me.

After finishing college, I studied at TCM International in Austria. This theological school was focused on practical theology, or applying gained knowledge to life. There, I was led to understand the importance of personal growth to help and lead others, the importance of the discipleship process, and many other important things regarding the Christian life and community.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

It has been a few years since I attended the Forum, and my ministry has changed. I look forward to meeting other Christian leaders doing similar ministry, getting to know new speakers, hearing new ideas, and being refreshed in the Word and fellowship of other Christians.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

From the age of 16, I was a step leader for a ministry with children in Sunday school, which I continued and afterward led until the age of 25, when I started pastoring the church. From 19, I was a part of the church’s youth group leadership team and later became the leader. I finished leading youth when I started pastoring the church. During my studies, I led two younger brothers in discipleship meetings.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I believe that investing in education and training brings results in real life. I hope to learn practical and important things at the Forum that can encourage, deepen, and help improve my ministry as a pastor. I believe any leader must be willing to hear and study to grow and be efficient for Christ´s kingdom. I feel that I need new strength, and I hope that I can get this at the Forum. This way, the church and His kingdom in Sumperk might grow and be more efficient because I would love to pass these things on to others. Investing in my education and training will be investing in the ministry of our church and its leaders.
