I grew up in a Christian household, so my walk was not one decision. Instead, it is the case that I came to know who Christ was in my childhood and then started questioning whether I believed that He existed in my teen years. Because of this, I began to try and find evidence for and against His existence, and by doing so, I came across people like John Lennox, William Lane Craig, C.S. Lewis, and so on. Their arguments further cemented my faith, and now, I try to follow Jesus as best as possible. Through His power, I grow closer to Him daily.
I hope to meet more scientists who share my faith and passion for science with whom I can debate and discuss the more challenging parts of the faith and build lasting relationships. I also hope to walk away with a better understanding of how to communicate my faith, give persuasive answers to questions posed by non-believers, and grow in my faith.
I am a physics student at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. I plan on doing a master's program, but I am not yet sure in what discipline. I will probably be in the field of quantum mechanics or a related field since this is something I am very passionate about (especially quantum computing). I am also part of the faculty-student association, where I attend symposia and lunch lectures from professors worldwide.
I am a student. My current involvement with scientific apologetics is limited to reading apologetics books such as John Lennox and William Lane Craig and watching online debates from apologists. I attend an international church in the Hague, where I am a member of the worship team and a student ministry participant. In my university and especially in my faculty, I am one of the few outspoken Christians, which makes it difficult to stand up for your faith.
I will live my whole life for the Church, to see the beauty of Christ in her and see her expanding. I want to learn. I am open to any change in the will and way of God on the foundation of God's word. I don't lean on my strength but will do God's will. Our task is impossible, and I will only trust his strength, work, and leadership skills.
