Ovidiu Hanc
Ovidiu Hanc is a pastor and a New Testament lecturer at Emanuel University of Oradea in Romania.
I decided to trust Jesus in August 1993. On that day, I realised my sin and my need for salvation.
Besides the people God has used to bless my life and spiritual growth, one of the defining moments was God calling me to pastoral ministry. Following the call, I studied theology at the Emanuel University of Oradea, which was a source of many blessings. Besides the theological training and practical experience, I met my wife at the university. God also opened the door to pastoral ministry at Emanuel Baptist Church of Oradea, where I became an intern pastor.
ELF has been the best resource God has used in my life over the years to equip me for ministry better. Serving as a pastor and as a scholar, I am in a situation where I have to feed others and encourage them. The Forum is that moment in the year in which I am blessed and nurtured by other mature leaders and encouraged to see the big picture of God’s ministry around the globe. The Forum has helped me to understand the theological trends that are taking place in the world better. It has allowed me to meet and get to know many people whose books I have studied. The Forum is a source of knowledge for my work in the New Testament department at Emanuel University. The books available at the Forum are also an incredible gift!
I teach New Testament Theology and Exegesis at the Emanuel University of Oradea. I also serve as pastor of Love Baptist Church of Arad. My pastoral ministry includes training others for ministry, mission, youth ministry, and family ministry. I am also part of a team that creates Bible studies for churches in Romania.
I was an Assistant Professor of New Testament at the Emanuel University of Oradea, where I taught New Testament Survey, Theology, Exegesis, and Biblical Greek. I was also previously pastor of Golgotha Baptist Church.
ELF has been one of the most strategic events that the Lord has used to challenge me and equip me for ministry. Through our church ministry, we are trying to reach as many people as possible.
