What is your ministry?
I'm a church preacher and the leader of the Bible League Bulgaria. A ministry that has trained Church Planters since 1996. We are one of the country's leading producers and distributors of Bibles and Bible Study materials. We have trained more than 700 church planters in the past 27 years. Our Church Planting program is two years long, and we gather the trainees twice a year for a training module. Each module has five subjects being taught - Vision, Practical Skills, Spiritual Character, Bible Study, and Administration. The teaching in the five modules progresses from Evangelisation (Module 1), Discipleship (2), Worship (3), Leadership (3), and Multiplication (5).
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I want to be exposed to more information about what is happening in Europe and the world. Last year's training benefited me, and I'm encouraged to return. I also invited other leaders from Bulgaria to come next year and want to be there to discuss together what everyone has learned and experienced. I signed up for the year-round training, and my church was open to starting a revitalisation process. We are now in the process of forming a church revitalisation team after basic training was held.
There are many things that I expect to gain from my participation in the mentoring program. First of all, I think it would benefit me to have some guidance from experts and learn from their experience and insights. Also, I expect to grow personally in my understanding, vision, and overall leadership. I also hope for spiritual renewal because I think I need it to succeed in revitalising the church. I also expect to be able to improve my strategic planning skills in the area of church life. I see many other benefits in my participation in this program. A few of them would be an improvement in communication, conflict resolution, resource management, adaptation to change, etc. Lastly, I would like to add that for me personally is very stimulating to be exposed to new information, to share ideas and brainstorm, and to be accountable for developing and executing plans.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
In the past, I have worked as a youth leader, coordinated the Hope for the Balkans, served as Director of the Publishing Department at the Bible League, and was the Executive Producer of the musical 'The Promise’, in 2008.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
It is difficult to speak to promote yourself, especially in my culture, but I believe I am part of the young generation of leaders in my country with a historic task. I think the job is to rebuild the burned bridges between the church and society. My interest in that area has led me to study theology, psychology, and screenwriting, and I desire to see more people from those circles come to faith and more Christian
professionals empowered to be good examples in the places they work.
