Recently, I accepted the call to pastoral ministry. For a year, I was traveling as a pastoral apprentice. Since August 2023, I have been a full-time pastor at the Baptist church in Osijek, Croatia. After eight years of no pastoral care and ministry, I find it challenging to revive many lost ministries. But God is faithful, and His mercy is everlasting.
I was saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ when I was seven years old. It was during a 5-day child evangelism outreach. The story was about the prodigal son. The part that moved my heart was in the story when the loving Father welcomed home the prodigal son. I was that sinner who needed repentance and the Father's embrace. I was that lost son who hit bottom and could not carry on alone. I responded to God's call in my life. He saved me from sin and gave me total forgiveness, and I have eternal life with Christ for all eternity.
I grew up watching my dad, who was a pastor. He challenged my faith on several occasions and always led by example. There were other people like my youth pastor and other godly men I came across over the years.
Since I am a new pastor in an old Baptist church, I hope to get insight and more wisdom from other experienced brothers in ministry.
I served as a music minister and youth pastor in my local church for many years. I would also frequently preach in the church. God allowed me to lead small Bible study groups.
I believe pastoral ministry is the utmost calling and responsibility and should be done excellently and to the best of my abilities. My town and our country are in great need of evangelism and discipleship. Is there any more significant need to invest and help a national pastor who is committed to the Lord's calling?
