Mikheil Khudoyan
Mikheil Khudoyan is a lay preacher in Georgia.
My conversion to the Christian faith happened in February 2004. I heard about Christ through an IFES Bible study group, but my dedication to Jesus happened after my first visit to a local evangelical church congregation called Batumi Holy Trinity Church. My dedication to the Lord was very quick and very intimate.
I grew up in the Christian faith by taking part in student ministry and church spiritual life as a deep response to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. One specific defining moment of my Christian walk came while I was being mentored by one of the leaders of IFES. A further defining moment has been my relationship with my pastor. I have learned a lot about the Christian faith from him. His deep and comprehensive dedication to learning and studying Scripture became a good example for me.
I look forward to meeting people from many nationalities, which will give me practice in language skills, communication, discussion, and understanding of cultural experiences. In addition, I expect to learn from experienced missionaries and Bible teachers how to connect various religious groups effectively to the Christian faith.
Presently, I participate in preaching and evangelistic activities. This includes conducting missionary meetings with Muslims and Jehovah's Witness communities in Georgia. I also visit homeless people and children with disabilities. Ultimately, I believe that my personal calling is to preach the Word and serve other Christians.
In the past, I took part in leadership ministry among students, in Bible study small groups, and participated in the church choir. I was the leader of a Bible study group among non-Christian Russian-speaking students through IFES. I have supported other leaders by helping prepare for student conferences, camps, and Bible study groups.
My entire ministry should promote, first of all, my personal walk with Christ, the edification and exhortation of churches and other Christians, and the need to reach different classes of unbelievers in society for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, there is no opportunity in my local context to gain practical skills and knowledge of theological resources. Your investment helps me to attend the Forum so I can enrich my practical ministry in churches and bring these resources to my country to serve more effectively.
