Mikhail Abakumov
I am the chapter director of Reasonable Faith in Ukraine; currently, I am a refugee in Poland. I conduct an online apologetics ministry for Russian-speaking and Ukrainian-speaking audiences. I translate videos, articles, and books on apologetics, science, and theology. I teach courses in Christian apologetics. I am also a youth pastor.
In 2016, after studying materials on atheism and theism, I decided to give my life to Jesus Christ.
After reading the writings of William Lane Craig, I decided to take the path of apologetics and serve in this area.
Last year I participated in seminars from scholars like Peter J. Williams, as a result, I was able to more accurately form my worldview and the right approach to solving complex issues regarding evangelism and catching the gospels. We have partnered with Peter J. Williams to record a podcast with him for a Ukrainian audience, and are inthe process of preparing a course on understanding the Gospels. In our youth meetings, I also brought up topics that were discussed at the Forum (for example, the correct application of apologetics). In 2024, I want to continue to get new knowledge from experts in various fields, share experiences, and see new perspectives for the development of the ministry.
ELF is an unforgettable time of experience exchange, new acquaintances, and spiritual growth. First-class speakers and important topics allow me to enrich myself and form a clear understanding of issues that are important to me.
I served as a youth leader in Ukraine and taught a Bible study class.
The sphere of apologetics in Ukraine is exceptionally poorly developed, and there is a considerable demand for the intellectual development of Christians in Ukraine, especially in war conditions. Our team tries to improve the situation by offering quality, apologetic content.
