Mihail Stefanov
I am part of the leadership team of Crossroads Church, Sofia. I serve as an assistant pastor. I oversee several ministries. I preach and teach in our leadership development program. I am responsible for building the teams of the teen, young adult, and worship ministries, as well as mentoring their respective leaders and preparing new leaders. I have also been interested in answering questions about my faith since my high school years. When I was 17, I challenged my biology teacher to a debate about random evolution and design. I then contacted an association of Christian scientists with requests for information and more than 10 people from all over the world, including some prominent scientists, sent me books and materials to prepare. After seeing the books that I received, my teacher never held the debate. Three years ago, I started reading apologetics consistently and God has greatly challenged both my church ministry and my business. I have had opportunities for sharing the faith with the business leaders I work with.
At a youth conference in Sofia, I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior when I was 16.
A milestone in my Christian life was when I started leading a teen group in my local church at 19. God did great work in us, inspiring us to go out on the streets of Sofia and share the good news with the young people of the city.
The few years I spent with those teens taught me some of the most important lessons in my life. The greatest of them was that being a leader in the Kingdom means nothing more than being a servant to all men. It laid the foundations of my present ministry.
I am part of the Advanced Apologetics Network Team with Andrew Fellows, and the Forum is one of the most blessed times of the year for me.
Besides being a pastor, I also have my own consulting company. I advise and teach communication and leadership skills to Bulgarian business leaders. I have a unique (for an evangelical Christian in a post-communist country) access to some of the country's most prominent business leaders and apologetics has been an important part of my work with them.
I am an active church leader and am heavily involved in developing next-generation leaders in several key ministry areas, such as worship, teen and young adults, and teaching and training.
