Michal Domagala

Michal Domagala is a pastor in Poland.
I became a believer in 1992 when I heard the Gospel from some of my high school friends. I was 18, from an atheistic background, and looking for some value, meaning, and security in my life. There was a small Baptist church in the town where I lived, and it was being revitalised by a new pastor. It attracted young people as it was so different from our Catholic environment. So some of my friends went there, and they began to share the Gospel with me. It took me a few months of processing for me to get to the point of asking Christ to change my life.
The most defining moment was my decision to follow Jesus. A later defining moment was my call to be a missionary, which happened through reading a book on Jim Elliot. Then, after serving as a missionary for 15 years, I became a pastor through the encouragement of my sending church's pastor.
I hope to grow personally and develop my ministry ideas through the help of experienced leaders. I look forward to having someone to discuss ideas with, who is objective and distanced from my situation so they can offer a different perspective. It will be wonderful to have a place where I can comfortably share the frustrations, joys, and challenges of my ministry.
I am a pastor of a large, multigenerational church and am involved in preaching, leading the church, counselling others, and assisting in Bible translation. Currently, I am building a leadership team to help lead the church, and I'm hoping to transfer it into a centre for evangelism and discipleship.
Before pastoring my current church, I was a pastor of a small congregation in a small town and a missionary abroad for more than 15 years. This mission work involved partnering with Navigators in Central Asia and working as an exegete for Wycliffe Bible Translators.
I lead a church with a large international community. It is one of the key churches in one of the largest cities in Poland. We need encouragement and inspiration to introduce and develop a disciple-making movement.
