What is your ministry?

I am the Bishop/Leader of the Baptist Church of Georgia, a network of 27 churches. My primary role is as a communicator/facilitator of our Baptists Together vision and mission. I represent our church at various civic and ecumenical events. I am also the chairman of the Church Leadership Team, which draws together those offering leadership within our Baptist movement to perceive what God is doing, encourage Baptist ministers and church members, and model together what it means to be a Kingdom Movement.

When did you trust Christ?

I was baptised in the Georgian Orthodox Church when I was two years old, but I did not believe in God until 1992. My friend shared the Good News with me in April 1992, and some days later, I trusted and followed Jesus. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and got baptised on the 27th of August 1993.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

My friend was a committed and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. His commitment, dedication, and grueling work in the mission field greatly impacted my faith.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

The 2023 Forum was a fantastic opportunity for our churches (ordained ministers, lay people) to grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. Furthermore, the Forum allows us to cooperate with European churches and carry out various social and educational projects together.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was the General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Georgia (later Evangelical Baptist Church of Georgia) from 1997 to 2010. I was elected President of the Evangelical Baptist Church of Georgia in 2010 and archbishop in 2014.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

You should invest because it will significantly impact our church's development. All the training, new ideas, vision, and connections will benefit the church's growth and development.
