Mathew S. Thomas
Currently, I do clinic work once a month in a mission hospital for a week, supporting the Christian National Medical and Dental Association in 7 nations of South Asia. I help young professionals across ICMDA's global regions by setting up and running various training programs.
In 1972, as a young college student.
As a young college student, I was challenged by a medical missionary to follow Christ's call for missions. Another moment was stepping out into medical missions as a young professional, where I faced many challenges in missions and missions leadership roles.
Learning from others who have journeyed such ministry and connecting with other leaders.
I have led 4 Mission hospitals as head of the institution in rural North India. I have set up an HIV critical and home care program in New Delhi and was the Director. I have led Emmanuel Hospital Association (www.eha-health.org), a network of 20 mission hospitals and 40 community health projects for eight years, and I was involved in leading a team of around 100 young leaders across these institutions.
The above learning and networking can help young professionals across the 13 global regions of ICMDA.
