Mario Tafferner
I teach Old Testament at a theological seminary in the Netherlands. I also serve as an elder in our local reformed church. Finally, I am involved in institutional relations for Tyndale Theological Seminary.
I trusted Christ when I was 15.
My defining moments were my conversion when I was 15, the realisation that I radically had to change my life as a follower of Jesus when I was 18, my faith crisis when I was 22, and the period of fundraising to become a missionary-professor of theology.
I was very encouraged by the Forum in 2023. The theologians Network has massively helped me to grow in how I do theology for the sake of the Evangelical church. I believe I have become a better teacher through the Forum already.
My past leadership roles were serving as a teaching elder at Grace Presbyterian Church in Winnetka, IL, and serving as an elder at Hervormde Kerkte Broek Op Langedij.
Teaching at Tyndale Theological Seminary is a strategic ministry. Our school has a missionary profile and we have students from mostly Africa and Asia who receive full-ride scholarships to get the theological education that they otherwise would not be able to receive.
