Maria Kapsali

Maira Kapsali is a Bible study leader and works with a Greek ministry that provides care for at-risk young women and their children.
While I had a childhood affection for Jesus, it wasn't until the age of 19, through a friend's influence, that I made the definitive decision to trust and follow Him.
The first church that I attended profoundly shaped my Christian walk, providing a solid foundation in Gospel truths and the warmth of fellowship. Coupled with two years of Bible school, my faith was significantly strengthened.
I am looking forward to the European Leadership Forum to learn how to better counsel others biblically, communicate the Gospel effectively within various cultural contexts, and ultimately, bring more people to Jesus.
My present ministry centers on leading a Bible study that aims to grow into a fully established church. Additionally, I am deeply involved in evangelism, leveraging my past as an Orthodox Church member. This experience allows me to connect with the Greek community on a deeper level, understanding their religious thought patterns. This cultural understanding strengthens my approach to sharing my faith and serves me well in my work with Community House Damaris were I serve at-risk young mothers and their children.
For several years, I actively served in my church community, both as a Sunday school teacher and by leading the ladies' gathering, which allowed me to share my faith and the message of Christ.
The Bible study I lead is focused on becoming a church and, ultimately, planting additional churches throughout Greece's East Attica region. Supporting my training and ministry directly contributes to the expansion of the Gospel and the establishment of God's Kingdom in this area.
