What is your ministry?

I served as the lead pastor in my home church in Trnava, Slovakia, for the last three years. After COVID-19 and an unexpected resignation of the previous lead pastor, we found ourselves in a deep need for replanting of our church. My main roles are preaching, developing new leaders, and leading the church in clarifying and following the vision for our church in our city. Also, our church has started a Christian primary school in Trnava, where I meet regularly with students and their parents. Denomination-wide, I am part of the church planting committee and am regularly involved in denominational youth ministry efforts.

When did you trust Christ?

It was at a Christian camp in the summer of 2007. For the first time, I was praying and felt like God was there and listening to me. And I felt His presence right there next to me. That was the beginning of my relationship with Jesus.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Others have impacted my faith through their relationships with Jesus and seeing their lives and their living faith. And then, of course, situations in my life where God was working and teaching me lessons (like when I gave up a job to do ministry and God miraculously took care of me financially). Or when I was struggling with a sin that I could not defeat, but He was still there waiting for me to come and restore my soul. He gave me more strength to keep fighting, and I finally won the fight (He taught me that He is faithful and still there for me, despite what I have done). And one of the biggest things I see is that, long before I became a Christian, God took care of me and prepared me to accept Him when the time came.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

The Forum has always been a place of much-needed refreshment and a place to reinforce existing relationships and form new ones. The last time I attended the Forum was two years ago, and we were in the middle of a crucial transition in our church as we were dealing with the fallout of the previous pastor's resignation. The conversations I was able to have at the Forum that year were critical in helping me navigate this charged and complicated situation. As a young and new pastor, connecting with much-experienced pastors and leaders is invaluable.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Having fellowship with Christians from all around Europe is an invaluable aid. Talking with different people and hearing their opinions and ideas about my situation (and vice versa) is a rare and remarkable thing.
