Lukacs Marton
I lead the youth group at my church. 35-45 people attend it each Friday. I teach, worship, and lead on these events. I'm part of a movement that started in our church a few years ago where 200 people come together from different churches and denominations to go deeper in following Jesus and becoming a disciple of God. Mostly I do service in the praying ministry and media team on these events.
I grew up in a Christian family so I heard about God and Jesus a lot. But when I was 12 years old, I attended a camp. One night the gospel was shared, and deep down in my heart, I felt the calling from God that this was the time when He was calling me to give my life to Him and accept Jesus as my Savior.
After I gave my life to Jesus, I didn’t have friends in the church where I went, so I didn't have the chance to share my problems and thoughts with others my age. So, after a few years, we moved with my family and changed churches, which was very impactful for me. I met young Christians who were in the same age group as me and also met a few older people who had a lot more experience in faith and following Jesus. These people helped me to grow spiritually. I started following Jesus so differently; I got a new aspect of living with God.
I hope that I can grow in faith by hearing and learning more about others' stories and testimonies in their ministries. I would like to learn more about how to become a disciple that God wants us to be.
I used to lead sports camps and English camps at church. Now I m leading the youth group at our church which is around 40 people.
I am next to people in my ministry who sometimes need help, encouragement, or discipleship to get deeper in their relationship with God and in the following of Jesus. I would like to be the person who can be next to them and help them on their way to that.
