Lovro Kosir
I serve as a technician in the church. I set up lights and spotlights to record live worship services. I sit behind the screen and arrange and manage the camera angles for live streaming on the YouTube platform. I assist youth leaders in working with the youth and step in when they cannot attend youth meetings. I maintain all the technical equipment owned by the church.
Three years ago, in 2020, I started attending youth meetings at the Baptist church in my county. Through these youth meetings, I encountered the authentic gospel, learning more and more each day until I knew more than enough. Shortly after, a pastor asked: "If Jesus were to come for you tomorrow, are you ready?" I nodded in denial, prompting him to ask, "What are you waiting for, Lovro?" This question led me to reflection, and after two weeks of prayer and struggle, God broke me and adopted me into His family!
I am stubborn by nature, and every opposition only fueled my determination to delve deeper into studying the Bible, faith, and God Himself. At home, I faced persecution for the decision to follow Christ, which distanced me a bit from my family, but through that, God was strengthening the foundations of my faith. I didn't have many friends and those I had mocked my decision to follow Christ. But I never gave up on them; God used that to bring two of them to faith. Shortly after my conversion, I felt a calling to witness to people about Christ. After three years, I enrolled in Theological School, providing an excellent foundation for serving in the church, preaching, and studying God's Word.
I believe that it will positively impact me and my ministry, and I will return home with more knowledge than when I came.
I have preached several times at youth meetings and also led those gatherings. I served at children's Christian camps as an assistant leader. For the past few years, I have been leading a youth conference organised by my local church, and last year, I was one of the main organisers. I have organised multiple trips and travels for young people to youth conferences and activities such as hiking and walking through the forest. Last year, I began an internship as an assistant leader at a Christian summer camp by the Adriatic Sea, where I assist leaders and assistant leaders.
If someone wants to invest in workers for God, they will invest in whoever God places in that position, regardless of who it may be. And they would invest in me if God provided what is needed for me.
