When I was 18, I attended my first English camp, where I heard about Jesus. I heard the gospel for the first time and was overwhelmed by this loving, accepting, and merciful God. I decided to read the Bible for myself and find out more. God changed my heart. I joined a local church where I started serving in youth and discipleship groups. I also began serving in my university’s town, organising an English-speaking club with a group of missionaries (where we talked about deeper spiritual issues in English), organising English camps, and serving local students.
I chose this program because I want to experience a one-on-one discipleship/mentoring on my own. First I think ireally need it in this season of my life so that I'd be able to learn and model and apply what I learn here in my church, where we disciple other women. I hope to grow in communicating my needs, conflict resolution skills, and growing in understanding my role in the church, as well as obtaining some valuable tools in the everyday battle with sin, sinful thoughts and desires. I believe this will have a positive impact on my ministry, it will give me more understanding of my role in where I am right now and how to communicate more effectively in order to create a healthy and loving ennviroment in the church body.
I am a member of a new church plant. I am a co-leader of a women's ministry discipleship group. I serve as a children's ministry teacher. I serve on an online platform focussing on people seeking God, where I have served for a couple of years now, helping people to guide them on their journey towards God.
In the past, I served as a leader of a small discipleship group of women and worked in a team of English camp leaders. I lead Biblical counselling in my local church and a Bible study group similar to Christianity Explored.
As a part of a new church plant team, we need all resources possible and encouragement to put some ideas and concepts that work into practice. I am here to do just so, especially in equipping and discipling women, teens, and people who are not usually the priority or might be different from the majority. As a social worker, my heart goes to people who have been hurt, oppressed, or neglected. I want to use all my capacity to help them get to know Christ and to help them experience the beauty of a relationship with Him and within the church body here on earth.
