Laszlo Szabo
I am the senior pastor of the congregation. My primary task is the ministry of preaching. I also organise the community, oversee the various ministries, and train staff.
The first step of my journey with the Lord was my repentance. I was about 7 or 8 years old. I went to church from week to week, and once I realised that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me more than anyone in the world, I wanted to follow Jesus. I learned much about God and his plan for humanity, sin, and salvation. I made my confirmation promise as a person who knows this is life's most significant decision.
My father was a great example to me. After this, I repented; I learned much about the faith from books and different people. My favorite books besides the Bible were those by Calvin, Sproul, Hodge, and Berkhof.
Previously, I have participated in the Theologians Network. The last time was in 2016. Since then, we have been running a 10-part Bible school series every autumn, with a new theme each year, to deepen our congregation's faith knowledge and equip our future staff. I write theological articles for our church's newspaper so that our church members can learn about and acquire our beliefs. Within the Evangelical Group Association framework, we organise theological discussions and conferences. We have also become more mission-conscious. Twice a year, we organise a series of questions about the Cross for interested people, which is popular, and more people are converted and join the church.
During my studies at the university, I was the student government president. I had been holding Bible studies regularly at our faculty. I was the youth leader in my church.
I serve many people in my ministry, including youth, who are the future of the church, our country, and Europe.
