Laszlo Szabo
Laszló Szabo is a pastor in the Hungarian Reformed Church.
The first step of my journey with the Lord was my repentance. I was about 7 or 8 years old. I went to church from week to week, and once I realised that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me more than anyone in the world, I wanted to follow Jesus. I learned much about God and his plan for humanity, sin, and salvation. I made my confirmation promise as a person who knows this is life's most significant decision.
My father was a great example to me. After seeing his model, I repented. I learned much about the faith from books and different people. My favourite books besides the Bible were those by Calvin, Sproul, Hodge, and Berkhof.
The lectures I hear and the books I buy at ELF are reflected in my teaching content. In addition, the evangelical vision and the pastoral connection to the people have also led both me and my church in the right direction. I see the Forum as a calling, allowing me to recharge for the ministry in the coming years. I became a senior pastor a year and a half ago, so it is especially important for me to see God's will clearly in this area.
I am the senior pastor of the congregation. My primary task is the ministry of preaching. I also organise the community, oversee the various ministries, and train staff.
During my university studies, I was the student government president. I also regularly held Bible studies at our facility and was the youth leader in my church.
In my ministry, I serve many people, including youth, who are the future of the Church, our country, and Europe.
