Kiss Gergo is a businessman in Hungary who mentors young men and leads Bible studies and small groups in his local church.

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a Christian family, but I did not want to trust in Jesus Christ. Several years ago, when I was 17, I was very sick. I asked God for help, and He answered me. By the next day, I had fully recovered! I repented of my sins and believed in Jesus Christ as my Saviour.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

I moved to Budapest a year after my conversion and lived in a Christian dormitory. We talked and prayed together, and the dormitory pastor often invited me to his home for coffee or a meal. He even shared some of his own faults so that I might learn from his mistakes. God guided, taught, and instructed me in many ways in choosing a wife. As a married man, I am learning daily how to love and serve God and my wife. I have often failed, but God is teaching me to live by His grace. I attended Fiúság akadémia (Sonship Academy), where the school's director mentored me. I learned that a calling is not a formal activity but rather a mandate from God.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I hope to deepen my knowledge of God and discipleship. I have started mentoring a younger man, and I desire to help other men know God more deeply. I lead Bible studies and preach some, so I would like to grow and learn from wiser, more knowledgeable, and more experienced men than me.

What is your ministry?

I recently started attending a new church with my wife. Although I don't have a formal ministry yet, on occasion, I lead our small group or the group's Bible study.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I led devotions in my previous church, preached, and led a Bible study group. Though I was not a formal leader, I assisted the leaders.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I am enthusiastic about knowing God more because this is eternal life, and I have experienced that this desire affects the lives of others. Though I am a young man with much to learn, I believe God has given me a gift to help others know Him and His Word more deeply.
