Karyna Kobryn
Karyna Kobryn is on staff with IFES Belarus.
It was at a summer camp in 2008. We were invited to a camp for Belarusian kids in Latvia. My parents are Christians, but my decision was made after I heard the Gospel from the stage at this camp.
The most critical moments were serving in orphanages as a teenager, later learning about IFES Belarus, and starting to serve as a student leader at university.
New meetings and seminars provided by ELF can inspire me to grow and do my job better. As a result of attending in the past, we started partnerships with different organisations in our ministry using new speakers and guests for our projects. This year, I hope to grow spiritually and make new connections for our ministry. It’s a meaningful event for our team, and I want to return to have new information, insights, and friends.
The three main branches of our ministry are evangelism, mission, and discipleship. We serve students, both believers and unbelievers. Our mission is to make disciples of Christ among students. My role is to organise and provide administrative support for our various projects.
I organised events in orphanages. In addition, I was a youth ministry leader in my church. Lastly, I was a lead vocalist of the worship team.
We serve students in challenging situations near the war zone and during the political revolution in our country. Therefore, we have many needs to continue serving, including training.
