What is your ministry?

In my job at the Word and Israel, I have different tasks, such as managing, organising, and teaching at events. I also have a lot of volunteers that I lead. I serve in the church services and the teen group.

When did you trust Christ?

I come from a Christian family, and I've always been around the church. But my experience is that the challenges I meet in life keep pushing me to go further in my decision to trust and follow Jesus. At this point, I don't know which of these decisions I would call the original one.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

At the age of 19, I struggled with my faith, and I wasn't confident that I was saved. Then, I went to a Danish Bible school called Lutheran Mission High School. Through Bible study, classes, and fellowship with other Christians, I understood salvation through Jesus alone, through the sacrifice on the cross. I will never be able to earn my salvation through good deeds, but Jesus lived the life I should have lived but chose the punishment I deserved. Now, I live and serve for Jesus and pray that he will show me his path in my service.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I hope ELF will fill me with the love of God and the love for the people I serve. I hope to meet other leaders from different countries and settings to share my experience and gain from them. And then, I would love to receive good preaching and teaching, which I'm sure there is much at ELF.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I've been doing a lot of work with youth. I led the youth group for four years. I'm in another teen group, where I have been for two years. I have also been a leader in several Christian youth camps on vacations. I've also been a leader at a Christian group in high school where we met every week. I also serve in my church on Sunday and Tuesday services with prayer and the Lord's supper. I also arranged youth services for two years. Three years ago, I volunteered in Israel, and since then, I've worked for the same organisation called the Word and Israel. One part of that job is arranging a tour called "Mini Bible School" in Israel every summer for two weeks, showing the land of the Bible and teaching about the Bible both in classrooms and on location. I'm also part of a team called Christians in Copenhagen, whose mission is to welcome new Christians to the city and to share the Gospel in Copenhagen. Finally, every month, I preach at Sunday services for the organisation Lutheran Mission Denmark. It's a joy to proclaim the good news for both old and new believers.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

The church needs good leaders. I'm 24 years old and need good tools in my ministry to be the best leader possible. I'm also studying, so I depend on others to help me gain those tools. I will use the tools and teaching I will get from ELF to serve other people in the direction of Christ, and I hope good people will help me with that.
