Johann David Go
I serve in a Baptist church in Zagreb as their youth leader. Given that the church only has our senior pastor and me as full-time workers, I am also involved in the overall life of the church. I help with digital ministries, youth ministry, small groups, international ministry, and other project-based ministries.
I grew up in a Christian home and came to faith at a young age, but it was not until my early teen years that I took my faith seriously. Through a family friend who was a youth leader, he challenged me to take my faith personally and live it out. Since then, it has been a journey to see how God works in my life.
I can say that looking back on my journey of faith with God, I have seen Him work in my life in many different ways. He has constantly provided people who walk alongside me and has deepened my understanding of Him. When I moved to Croatia 8 years ago, God provided people and a church that has taught me much in life and ministry. With that, my desire and love for discipleship grew.
I hope to be encouraged and grow my ministry skills, especially in church life and discipleship. I don’t know much about the conference, but many of the topics look very interesting, and I hope to learn from people with much more experience than I do.
I have led various summer camps, youth group teams, small groups, men’s groups, and other project teams in the church.
I desire to see the next generation catch the vision and fire for the Lord. I also want to raise a generation that is God-fearing and loves God, others, and the church.
