Jeffrey Knight
I became a Christian sometime when I was in college. I started college in 1977 and graduated in 1981. At some point during those years, I received Christ and began a walk with Him.
My hope is that I would be able to build relationships with other men who desire to be used by God to train up another generation of men who would commit themselves to the work of teaching other men to observe the commandments of the Lord.
My current ministry is Emet Ministries, Inc. The mission of the ministry is to help Disciples of Christ become Disciplers. I currently meet with almost 40 young men on a weekly basis. Over twenty of the young men attend a Saturday morning Bible study that I have hosted for around 20 years for College students who attend two local Universities.
The weekly one-on-one meetings involve prayer, Bible study, and discussion of life issues ranging from marriage to raising children to resolving work-related issues. With over 40 years in the business world (30 years at the largest bank in Indiana), I developed one aspect of my gift of administration by helping young men develop professionally, spiritually, and emotionally. The Saturday morning Bible study is focused primarily on teaching the young men how to pray and study the Bible. This time involves a time of praise as well, as we sing hymns to the Lord.
