What is your ministry?

Currently I am the presbyter in my reformed church congregation. I play a leading role in Hungarian Sófárhangoló Reformed Worship Association supporting its activity also in areas such as teaching instruments in their summer worship camps. I am the leader of the worship group in my congregation leading the instrumental and choir service. I also organise Bible reading evenings weekly in the Church, especially on apologetics.

When did you trust Christ?

I accepted Christ in 1998, after a week of evangelism during Advent in the local congregation.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Before and after my conversion I attended the local youth community organised by the pastor of the congregation. These weekly gatherings had a relevant impact on my spiritual growth. Then, I started to attend other weekly services, as well. I also started to read Christian books from authors such as Rick Warren, John White, PhilippYance, Bill Hybels, Timothy Keller, Max Lucado, John Stott, and Lee Strobel, or the Hungarian pastor Kálmán Cseri. Later I started to serve in our congregation and it also developed my own faith, as well. The worship musicians also influenced my feelings and thinking about our Lord.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

A friend of mine and a member of our Presbyterium, László Beregi, regularly attends ELF. He has shared his experiences with me. He advised me to join the Forum and I hope it would also refresh my sight in leadership as I saw how it impacted his approach and activity.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was elected a member of the presbyterium in our congregation. I also became the legal advisor of my community, supporting our pastor. I also was one of the founders of the Hungarian Sófárhangoló Reformed Worship Association, which became a well-known and recognised reformed movement in Hungary. This association specialised in training and leading youth in worship music and other Christian arts, such as fine art, dance, and literature. This organisation also became a forum of meeting other denominations as well. I was also promoted into a leadership role in my civil life at a large international insurance company.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I am convinced that I will be able to use the experiences gained at ELF in my daily service in the church and the Worship Association in Hungary. I have always strived to improve my knowledge by reading authors such as Josh McDowell, Stephen M. Miller, or Norman L. Geisler. I am sure lectures on this topic can further improve me and provide new drive and impulse.
