Imre Zöld
Imre Zöld is a pastor in Hungary.
After the Bible study group meeting when I was sixteen years old, I finally understood that even if I had not committed hideous sins, I was still lost and in need of salvation. So I prayed with a leader that evening, asking for forgiveness for my sins and for Jesus to come and be my Redeemer.
At the beginning of my Christian life, the local church and minister helped me learn to read the Bible and pray daily. Regular prayer meetings for young people became essential in my life. It was a special blessing to sense a calling for pastoral ministry. Theological studies at the seminary also helped me learn about the richness of God.
I would like to be equipped and strengthened in my ministry. ELF will help me to see and learn new ways to approach people with the Gospel. I also hope to meet with brothers and sisters in Christ and study.
I am an associate minister in the Hungarian Reformed Church in Budapest. My responsibilities include evangelism and disciple-making ministry, not only in the church but also among the Jewish people in Budapest. I pay considerable attention not to negotiate the truth of the message while also preaching the Gospel openly and sensitively. I also preach once a month in the Sunday service.
I was a youth leader for about five years. Then, after finishing Theological Seminary, I was a pastor in a small rural church for ten years and four years in another congregation. Now, I am a minister in Budapest, Hungary.
I believe we are working together in God's vineyard from different nations and denominations for the same purpose. Therefore, if somebody supports the conference, they also support the work of evangelism in Budapest. I am convinced it is according to the will of God.
