Hristian Staykov

I am a medical doctor and an assistant professor at the Medical University of Sofia.
I would like to develop the skills needed to organize the most effective and efficient events and to overcome any challenges. I want to develop a professional, evidence-based approach to event planning, with a particular emphasis on: defining and algorithmizing the most appropriate steps needed to be taken in complex event planning situations; creating an event structure, ideally with a hierarchy that would prioritize between different event aspects; anticipating and preventing problems that may arise at different times during an event; creating a well-structured and effective participant follow-up strategy after a big event without being overwhelmed.
I am currently part of the leadership team of the Bulgarian branch of the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA). I am currently in a leadership position regarding PRIME International (an international network of Christian professional healthcare educators) initiatives in Bulgaria. I am in a leadership position in my church regarding medical matters. As part of my teaching responsibilities at the Medical University of Sofia, every week I organize and lead educational seminars for students of medicine and dental medicine. I have been doing so for around two years now. As part of my research responsibilities at the Medical University of Sofia, and in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, I often take part in leadership teams and provide research leadership, where needed.
As part of my leadership roles in ICMDA, PRIME, teaching, and research, it is advisable or required that I (alone or with a team) organize and lead different Christian or secular events. I also have the long-term goal of organizing a Christian apologetics event. Despite my previous experience, I still feel anxious about many aspects of event planning.
