Hannah Greer

Hannah Greer is an intern with CARE, advocating for children in England's public square.
I was blessed to grow up with Christian parents. I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour when I was four years old, after hearing my mum clearly explain the Gospel to me. I had a love for God at that young age and understood my need of a Saviour.
I thought I was 'good', but when I started university in 2021, God revealed to me the seriousness of putting all sin to death. I understand the importance of spending time in the Word daily, as this is where the Lord primarily reveals Himself to me, and I learned to be more disciplined. Developing Christ-centred friendships sharpened my faith, challenged my conduct, and encouraged me to know Christ more deeply. Through hard times in my life, God has taught me to lift my hands in praise and remember that the victory has been won.
I am eager to benefit from the teaching in areas relevant to my work and also my own spiritual formation. Attending will be pivotal in deepening my understanding and application of God’s Word to my current and future endeavors. I look forward to developing meaningful relationships with others called to serve God in the public square and to gain support for my ministry.
As a member of the CARE Leadership Programme, I have been placed with Home for Good and Safe Families. I support them in their advocacy work, which includes assisting families with children classified as 'in need' and providing support for post-adoption initiatives in the area. My training is equipping me for leadership in the public square.
I was Committee Secretary at Queen’s Christian Union Belfast, responsible for all regular, evangelistic, and special events. In this role, I performed all administrative needs and acted as a representative for the CU to outside groups. I was also a small group leader and mentor there. Lastly, I have served as a youth leader and small group leader for younger girls at church.
My CARE internship is preparing me to lead in the public square, with a focus on advocating for children and vulnerable young people. My strategically important role aligns with my passion to influence policies and systems that impact vulnerable groups. The skills and knowledge I gain will enable me to support the body of Christ through ministry as well as professional advocacy.
