Gunnar Magi
As the president of the theological seminary, my task is establishing the school's culture and learning environment. I am also responsible for fundraising for the daily operational budget and student scholarships. It is a task that requires daily dependence on Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I accepted Christ on December 21, 1989, at a Christmas concert. After becoming a Christian when I was 15, my life changed drastically.
In 1993, I met my life-long mentor, Pastor T. Blanton, who invited me to do a pastoral internship in his church and has remained a friend I can always turn to. In 2003, I began graduate studies at Tartu University Department of Theology. 2010, I began serving an incredible body of believers again in Estonia. During this decade, I have had the immense privilege of serving the denomination of Evangelical Christians and Baptists on the national and Estonian Free Church Seminary board, organising Christian festivals, starting ministries, serving as a pastor to pastors, and witnessing dozens of changed lives for Jesus Christ. For the last eight years, I have been working for the United Bible Societies, a global network of 150 Bible Societies operating in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. My life has been a series of blessings and God's grace, which I do not deserve. I am motivated by the love of Christ and His calling to serve people.
This will be a learning and networking opportunity with like-minded leaders. I will be looking for long-term partnership opportunities.
Alongside the roles I have previously mentioned, I have also served in children's ministry, youth ministry, high school religion teacher, senior pastor, elder, and church relations manager.
I am dedicated to God's Word, committed to discipleship, and care about the global church.
