Emanuel Moisa
I am a pastor of two village churches close to Arad, Romania. I invest in developing children, youth, and leaders for the next generation of churches. I am also working in good relationships with other friends and organisations to reach the unchurched and developing leaders in many areas of life.
I was born in a Christian family, and as a child, I was taught to read the Bible and pray. I attended a Baptist Church where the youth leader was very interested in the students he worked with, and he challenged me personally to grow in my walk with Christ and my understanding of Scripture. After finishing a course in Navigators and being touched by my brother’s baptismal service, I decided at age 14 to receive Christ as my personal Savior and Lord and follow Him all my life.
When I first became a Christian, I got involved with a small group led by my youth minister. He greatly encouraged me in my faith, as did the church pastor. He recognised my calling as a pastor and taught me to preach and witness to others. He encouraged the church to send me to the Baptist Theological Institute in Bucharest to be trained for ministry. After graduation, I became a pastor and met my closest friend, an excellent pastor who is a wise and experienced youth minister. He has been helpful in my ministry and we have learned how to serve the church together. Through him, I have been invited to many conferences with Christian leaders from our country.
The Forum has encouraged me and trained me. I have learned how to organise and lead the church better and have been challenged to invest more in God’s kingdom in Romania and Europe. Also, I am part of the Year-Round Mentoring program, which I will complete during the 2024 Forum.
As the senior pastor, I lead the church’s leadership team. I lead the preaching and teaching team. I am involved in creating and evaluating many of the church activities for children, teenagers, women, service outreach, and evangelism. I also need to recreate our small group ministry because the ministry we started for this two years ago does not function well and we need groups that have connections between them, rather than groups that are totally separate. We are starting a discipleship ministry in the fall to grow leaders who will be able to multiply and bring much fruit for the Kingdom.
I meet many people who need Christ. Many of those who come to know Christ become involved in ministry. I want my ministry to multiply. I desire to work with others, trying to help them follow Christ in every aspect of their lives. I want to share with others what I have received.
