Desmond Koomson
Although I was born into a Christian family, I became a Christian in 2003 after carefully searching the scriptures and understanding that no other name can save apart from the name of Jesus. I went in front of the church and surrendered my life to Jesus after an altar call.
I want to become a mentor in speech and deeds as a Christian. I also desire to have a better perspective on different worldviews, including the Christian worldview, and be able to engage with people from these worldviews respectfully and humbly. I hope I will be able to present my faith in boldness and humility.
I am a Ph.D. student in the Chemistry department of King's College London studying the bioelectric catalysis of Heme-containing Redox Enzymes in Ionic Liquids in Thermocells. I am also a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for the Chemistry department.
I helped organise an apologetic conference featuring Stefan Gustavsson and Andy Bannister in my current church. I'm co-leading in establishing a Graduate Christian Fellowship here in London through my church. I attended the Genesis program to discuss the sacredness of some archaeological artifacts in London and their implications for Christians and non-Christians.
