We planted a church for mostly non-church people. Mainly, they are our neighbors, our relatives, and friends. Last summer, about 80 people attended the meetings. We delivered food parcels to the neediest of them - who are the majority, especially after the war started. Now we have stopped providing goods. Up to 35 people attended the meetings, partially because of severe weather.
I was 17. I finished Secondary school and entered the Juridical Academy in Dnipro. I broke my arm while playing soccer and was invited to an Evangelical church by my grandmother, where I accepted Jesus as my Savior. A few months later, I left the church. Shortly after that, I broke the same arm again, which required a complicated surgical operation. I turned to God, went to church, became serious about my faith, and served Jesus ever since.
The people who impacted my faith were my grandmother and my pastor, who helped establish my faith. Also, several pastors of other churches supported and encouraged me in my desire and calling to plant a church.
I expect to receive new ideas, connections, and encouragement for developing our newly planted church.
I used to be a youth leader in a church. Then, I was a worship leader in that same church. Now, I am a pastor of a newly planted church.
Investing in a ministry that reaches non-Christians with the Gospel is always good.
