I was four years old when I first understood the gospel from my parents, who told my sister and me about what Jesus did for us ever since we were born. I prayed that evening for Jesus to enter my heart. A few years later, when I was 12, we had a unique Sunday morning service in our local church, with a beautiful choir and a calling to repentance at the end of the sermon. I felt a strong drive to raise my hand and make this decision public. In October 2009, I got baptised together with my sister in our local church, where we have been serving ever since.
I expect to gain much fresh knowledge in various scientific fields and a deeper understanding of the complexity of God's creation and mind. I also hope to improve my reasoning and argumentative skills and gain insights into different perspectives on approaching various questions and doubts that others may present. Last but not least, I expect to gain valuable mentors and people who can help me with my questions and always give good advice on scientific and spiritual matters.
I am currently working as a simulation engineer at a German engineering company, where I am responsible for setting up simulations for the Zeiss mirrors found in the ASML lithography machines. I have also just started my Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, focusing mainly on sheet metal forming processes. In the future, I would like to be part of a scientific initiative where people passionate about science can learn from various scientific fields while learning how science points to Christianity. I want to be part of a future apologetics group for young people in churches and not only where there can be regular meetings touching various questions.
I am a Ph.D. student in the Industrial Engineering field.
